Tawfiq Tanko
Sentinelle Systems was founded by Tawfiq Tanko, a cybersecurity professional with hands-on experience across enterprise security operations, zero trust architecture, and federal compliance. Based in McLean, Virginia, the firm operates at the intersection of technical depth and strategic advisory.
Currently serving as vCISO for a national restaurant chain, Tawfiq manages a five-layer security stack spanning Cloudflare Zero Trust, Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, Rapid7 InsightIDR, and Entra ID. That stack protects over 400 endpoints across distributed locations.
His philosophy is straightforward: bring the same rigor and discipline used in federal security to every client, regardless of size. A startup with ten employees deserves the same quality of protection as a defense contractor with ten thousand.
